Epoxy Durability

The epoxy topcoat lasts twice as long as standard urethanes and up to four times as longer than standard epoxies. It has a satin sheen which maintains a fresh look even in traffic aisles. Slight texture creates a safer workplace by providing greater traction which helps reduce risk of slip and fall accidents. 100% aliphatic or UV-stable formula which helps keep floors from yellowing over time.

Epoxy Details

Pilmer Epoxy uses a low-odor, 100% solids epoxy that self-levels. The Low odor formula works perfectly around odor-sensitive stock and environments. In addition, it has reduced solvent which means less evaporation and less waste. The epoxy is eligable for LEED green building certification credits under the Indoor Environmental Quality, and 4.2 Low-Emitting Materials, Paint and Coatings sections.

Epoxy Color

If the epoxy is a solid color than colorant is added to the epoxy on site at time of mixing. If epoxy is a flake color (speckled) then the color is applied to the 1st layer of epoxy after it has been applied to the floor. The flake coverage is refered to as broadcast.
